What do the color indication lights mean?

How many Bluetooth connections can the Cardo module have?

  • The module can have (2) bluetooth connections.


Can the commander connect to an MP3 player?

  • Yes, the Cardo Packtalk can connect to an MP3 player. You can stream music from any paired device, including MP3 players, smartphones, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices. To start streaming music, you can use voice commands like “Hey Cardo, music on” or manually control it through the device’s buttons.


What should I do if my microphone isn’t working?

  • Check if your helmet is on mute.
  • Perform a factory reset, as commands might be stacked.
  • If all else fails, consider a warranty microphone replacement.


How can I soften road noise?

  • Check and adjust/close Venturi venting shutters.
  • Ensure the shield is properly closed.
  • Adjust ear muffs using the Velcro to better fit individual ears.


Why am I getting static sounds?

  • The radio frequency range might be near its maximum, meaning the group is getting farther away from each other.
  • The Bluetooth device might be too far away; try moving it closer to the helmet.


Why can’t I connect via DMC Mesh but can connect via Bluetooth pairing and Bluetooth intercom?

  • Check the antenna connection under the liner to ensure the module wires are connected to the gold colored end coax cable.


What should I do if the ear muff air is leaking?

  • Don’t push the air pump button past the helmet plate.
  • The ear muffs inflate approximately 1/8" on each side. They won’t inflate more than that and will leak extra air. The air muff hose assembly has sealant on the hose connection. The hose connection is a single hose to both ear muffs.
  • If it is a slow leak, try to determine the issue by removing the cheek pads, pumping up the earmuffs to full (firm to the touch), then pressing one side of the ear muffs.

What should I do if I hear three beeps or other noises when pressing buttons?

  • Check if the power button is permanently depressed (button pressed in). It might be stuck.
  • Perform a hard reset by pressing the comms button and power button for 10 seconds.

  • Perform a factory reset by pressing the comms, power, and music buttons for 6 seconds.

  • The user will need to re-pair the helmet to the app.
  • Consider sending a replacement module.


How do I charge the battery?

  • The charge indicator light is a red solid light when charging.
  • A fully charged battery shows a green light.
  • Use the Cardo Connect App or voice commands to check the battery status. Just say, “Hey Cardo, battery status,” and it will tell you the current battery level.
  • Ensure the charger male end (longer) is inserted fully into the port.

What should I do if the battery doesn’t last long and only charges to 50%?

  • Ensure the charge indicator light is a red solid light when charging.
  • Ensure the charger male end (longer) is inserted fully into the port.
    • The USC-C charger needs to be inserted correctly. The included 509 charger cord has the correct housing to fit into the charging port properly. Use the included cord.
    • The 509 charger on the left, other on the right. Notice the difference – the larger housing cannot get fully in the port.
    • Try using the 12V charging port behind the left control module to check for a full charge.
  • A fully charged battery shows a green light.
  • Consider replacing the spoiler module.
