Basic Operation

  1. Power On/Off:

    • Power On: Press and hold the power and Accessory button for 2 seconds. You hear a beep and see the LED light up.
    • Power Off: Press and hold the power and Accessory button for 2 seconds. Helmet will sound, give battery status, and power down.
  2. Adjusting the Fit:

    • Use the Fidlock® magnetic chin strap for easy and secure fastening. Simply bring the two ends close together, and the magnets will snap into place. To release, pull the red tab.
    • The PSI (pressurized Sound Isolation System) ear muffs can be adjusted. Held on my Velcro, unattach the muffs and adjust positioning as needed to have a more comfortable fit.

Using the Integrated Cardo Communication System (Mach V Commander)

  1. Pairing with Devices:

    • Bluetooth Pairing: Press and hold the Bluetooth button until the LED starts flashing. Follow the instructions on your device to complete the pairing.
    • Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC): Press the DMC button to activate and connect with other riders using the Cardo system.
  2. Controls:

    • Volume: Use the volume buttons on the side of the helmet to adjust the sound level.
    • Music and Calls: Use the control buttons to play/pause music, skip tracks, and answer/end calls.
    • Voice Commands: Activate voice commands by saying “Hey Cardo” followed by your command (e.g., “Hey Cardo, play music”).

Ventilation and Comfort

  1. Venturi Venting System:

    • Adjust the vents to control airflow and maintain comfort. Open the vents for maximum airflow or close them to retain warmth.
  2. Sunshade:

    • The drop-down sunshade can be operated using the lever on the side of the helmet. Slide it down to deploy the sunshade and slide it up to retract.

Charging and Battery Management

  1. Charging:

    • Connect the helmet to the charger using the provided cable. The LED will indicate the charging status.
    • Ensure the helmet is fully charged before long rides to maintain all functionalities.
  2. Battery Life:

    • The integrated battery powers the communication system and other electronic features. Regularly check the battery level and recharge as needed.

Additional Features

  1. Chase Light:

    • Some models include a chase light for increased visibility. Activate it using the designated button on the helmet.
  2. App Integration:

    • Download the Cardo app to customize settings, update firmware, and manage connections.
